Gymnastics Classes

Wouldn’t things be better if kids got out and exercised?

Gymnastics is one of the most comprehensive lifestyle exercise programs available to children. The benefits of gymnastics are numerous, including increased muscle strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination, and agility. Gymnastics classes are a great way to gain socialization skills, learn how to set goals, and gain an awareness for leading a healthy lifestyle. These perks not only help kids stay healthy, but they can be applied to other sports and to life in general. How can you beat that?

Top 10 Benefits of Gymnastics

  1. An increase in muscular strength, flexibility and endurance (pound for pound, gymnasts are among the strongest of Olympic athletes).
  2. The knowledge of how to fall and roll safely for all sports.
  3. Increased agility, coordination and fundamentals of movement.
  4. Discipline and self-control.
  5. Learn to listen and follow rules and directions.
  6. Social interaction with peers.
  7. A confident self-image and a positive attitude towards their bodies.
  8. Gain self-esteem, confidence, and a positive “can do” attitude.
  9. Learn to set goals.
  10. Trust in one’s own abilities: move from a world of “I can’t” to “I can”.

Gymnastics Classes @ Young’s Gym

At Young’s we offer a variety of gymnastics classes starting as young as toddlers just learning to walk! Our classes consist of traditional gymnastics classes in which all Olympic apparatus are used (Bars, Beam, Vault, & Floor), as well as more specific classes such as our tumbling classes that are tailored just to skills used on the floor as with cheerleading. Our recreational gymnastics classes are categorized into two main groups:

1. Preschool Gymnastics

2. School Age Gymnastics

We also offer private lessons, mostly for tumbling, in which a student is placed one on one with one of our highly trained instructors to maximize individual learning and focus!
